Time Slice and Delta-t Jitter Analysis |
SAMalyzer shows a detailed analysis in a graphical display. Following parameters can be analysed:
- Burst Size
- Burst Duration
- Burst Bitrate
- Off Time
- Delta-t Jitter
- Power Saving
- Average Bit Rate
- CRC of all sections
- FEC matrix rows
- data columns
- padding columns
- FEC columns
- puncturing columns
- error detected and corrected by the MPE-FEC verification

Time Slice analysis window
In the screenshot above SAMalyzer shows a big negative Delta-t jitter (the red bar). This visualizes the time slicing doesn't work properly in the used IP inserter and therefore the service might be inaccessible by a handheld device.
SAMalyzer provides a window which shows the current channel allocation and the time related distribution of the PIDs in order to see at a glance how the data slices are organized in the multiplex. The considered evaluation time can freely be adjusted.

Detail Analysis of all PSI/SI tables and MPE/MPE-FEC sections |
Beside other leading features, SAMalyzer also provides the best available analysis function for PSI and SI tables, which allows an analysis up to the last bit. If applicable then a human readible explanation of the particular value is displayed.
Additionally the analysis window contains a bi-directional synchronized data grid, wherein the hex data of the current PSI/SI table or MPE/MPE-FEC section is displayed. Selecting a value here automatically selects the appropriate field in the tree above and vice versa. Your developers will love this feature.

Detail Analysis of PSI and SI tables as well as MPE and MPE-FEC sections
SAMalyzer also includes a Service Analysis that extracts and combines information from half a dozen PSI/SI tables and shows the result as an overview of the entire transport stream (Network, Stream ID, Programs, Provider Names, Service Types and Descriptions, PIDs, Stream Types, IP Addresses... within a treeview. So getting the basics of the transport stream at one glance is possible.

Service Analyzer
SAMalyzer provides an exact timing based analysis and thus allows an exact navigation through recorded transport streams. These streams are not limited in size, i.e. despite running on a Win32 platform the transport streams may exceed the "magic" size of 4 GB without any problem.
Beside DVB-H SAMalyzer also allows to analyze the PSI/SI tables of DVB-T, DVB-S and DVB-S2 transport streams.
SAMalyzer runs on a standard PC or laptop on Windows 2000 or XP. No additional, expensive hardware devices are required.
SAMalyzer's use spans the entire range from design time of the development phase until the monitoring of the commercial product in the field.
